National Tourism Award
The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India presents National Tourism Awards to various segments of the travel and tourism industry every year. These awards are acknowledged as the standard bearer of outstanding achievements and recognition of tourism industry stakeholders in the country.
2015 – 2016
This year the company won the National Tourism Award for the 26th time.
The Company received an honorary award, Hall of Fame – Best Inbound Tour Operator, paying tribute to an elite group of National Tourism Award winners who have impressively won the same award at least 3 consecutive times, in the same category.
2014 – 2015
This year the company won the National Tourism Award for the 25th time and received two Awards.
The company declared winner for outstanding performance as Inbound Tour Operator (foreign exchange earnings of Rs.100 cr. and above).
The company has been declared the Best MICE Operator to India.
2013 – 2014
This year the Company and its partners have won 5 National Tourism Awards.
The Company was awarded the National Tourism Award for “Outstanding Performance” as Tour Operator/ Travel Agent in Category I (foreign exchange earnings of Rs.100 cr. and above). The company is the only one to have received this award for the 24th time.
Our partners were awarded:
- Best Overseas Tour Operator to India from Europe.
- Best Overseas Tour Operator to India from UK.
- Best Charter Operator to India – Pegas Touristik, Russia.
The company also received an award in the category of Responsible Tourism Project / Initiative for the Human Rights Impact Assessment Project which was conducted in India.
2012 – 2013
For the 23rd time, the Company was awarded the National Tourism Award for “Outstanding Performance” as Tour Operator/ Travel Agent in Category I (foreign exchange earnings of Rs.100 cr. and above). The company is the only one to have received this award for the 23rd time.

- Best Charter Operator to India – Pegas Touristik, Russia.
2011 – 2012
For the 22nd time, the Company was awarded the National Tourism Award for “Outstanding Performance” as Tour Operator/ Travel Agent in Category I (foreign exchange earnings of Rs.100 cr. and above). The company is the only one to have received this award for the 22nd time.

- Best Overseas Tour Operator to India from UK.
- Best Charter Operator to India – Pegas Touristik, Russia.
2010 – 2011
First position in the National Tourism Award 2010/11 for “Outstanding Performance” as Tour Operator/ Travel Agent in Category I (foreign exchange earnings of Rs. 100 cr. and above). The company is the only one to have received this award for the 21st time. The Company received a total of 4 awards.
The company also received an award in the category of Responsible Tourism Project/Initiative for Empowerment of Women through Literacy India & Fair Trade.

- Best Charter Operator to India – Pegas Touristik, Russia.
The awards were given away by The Hon’ble President of India, Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil at a function held in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on February 29, 2012.
2009 – 2010
First Prize for its Outstanding Performance as an Inbound Tour Operator in Category I (foreign exchange earnings of Rs. 100 cr. and above). The company is the only one to have received this award for the 20th time and has retained the first position, successively for the last two years.
Our partners were awarded:
- Best Overseas Tour Operator to India from Europe. The company has won this award for the last two years in a row.
- Best Charter Operator to India, this is also the second since last year — Pegas Touristik, Russia.
2008 – 2009
Outstanding Performance as Tour Operator/ Travel Agent in Category I (foreign exchange earnings of Rs. 100 cr. and above). The company is the only one to have received this award for the 19th time.
The Company’s partners also won National Tourism Awards this year.

2007 – 2008
The Company received a special felicitation at the National Tourism Awards 2007 -08 for outstanding contribution to the growth of Inbound tourism.
This is the first time such recognition has been given to any tour operator till date, thus making it very special for Sita.
2002 – 2006
First Prize for excellence in service and highest foreign exchange earnings 17 times till now and successively for the last 5 years.
PATA Gold Award
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Awards are presented to Travel industry organisations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to successfully develop and promote travel and tourism in Asia Pacific.
2022
Sita awarded PATA Award 2022 – France Chapter
Sita awarded PATA Award 2022 – French Chapter, a “Special Recognition”, the “Coup de Coeur” prize for Sita’s Through Her Eyes programme; conceptualised with a focus on creating exclusive immersive experiences for women who love travelling to faraway lands with ensured safety. The jury also recognized Sita’s global approach towards women empowerment; both, within the organisation and countries where it operates.
2010
The Company was awarded the PATA Gold Award in the category of ‘Education and Training’ for organising Child Protection Workshops in Goa and Cochin in 2009.
2012
Sita received the PATA Gold Award in the category of Marketing Media for its e-newsletter, ‘Art Of Travel’
Sita Wins Gold Award for Sustaining Employees and Communities through the Pandemic – 2021 at WTM London
As a culmination of the organisation’s efforts to weather the pandemic and support its employees and communities, we are proud to be the recipients of the WTM Responsible Tourism Gold Award. A panel of judges from within the industry used 6 criteria including replicability, innovation, and overall commitment to responsible tourism to judge the nominees.
It means the world to us to be recognized by our peers across the globe for our humble efforts during the pandemic, in keeping our staff and community thriving, not just economically but also emotionally. The award motivates us further to continue our endeavours with greater determination on the path to achieve sustainability.
We believe responsible companies inculcate responsible ethics.
TTG Travel Awards
2017
This year at the 28th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2017 the Company received the Best Travel Agency India Award. The company was voted as the Best Travel Agency – India by the readers of TTG Asia, TTG China, TTG India, TTGmice, TTG-BTmice China, TTGassociations and TTG Asia Luxury this year.
The award was received by Mr. Dipak Deva, Managing Director at a function held in Bangkok on September 28, 2017.
Nepal Tourism Award
On 27 September, World Tourism Day Sita Nepal received an award for highest tourism exchange earner in travel and tourism category from the ministry of culture, tourism & civil aviation, Government of Nepal.
BW Businessworld MICE Conclave & Awards
The Company received the Best MICE Agency – Inbound.
The award was received by Mr. Dipak Deva, Managing Director at a function held in New Delhi on January 20, 2018.
PATWA International Award
Dipak Deva, MD, Sita received the PATWA International Travel Award 2018 under the Category Best Professional – Travel.
The awards were presented during ITB Berlin 2018.

2019
Partners in Excellence
Partners in Excellence Award for outstanding long-term Partnership from Aurinkomatkat.
2018
Sita received the Aurinko – Partners in Excellence Award for winter 2016-17 as the destination for the highest feedback from clients and for the highest scores as well.
The award was presented in Helsinki on January 19, 2018.
2013
Finland’s most trusted tour operator Aurinkomatkat awarded Sita for its 20 year long relationship and for outstanding performance.
The award was given away on January 17, 2013.
Goa Experience
Mr. Dipak Deva, MD, Sita received a Certificate of Excellence from Goa Experience for Sita’s quality ground arrangements, excellent customer service and unrivalled professionalism.
The award was presented at WTM, London 2018.
Xandari Resorts Award
Xandari Resorts recognise their partners for outstanding contribution through these awards.
Sita received the Platinum Award from Xandari Resorts ( The Muthoot Group )
for highest contribution of business.
The award was presented on 23 May, 2018 at The Lalit, New Delhi by MS Dhoni, Indian international cricketer.
Adventure Specialists Award
This award is based on customer satisfaction scores given by travellers, for both Agent and Tour Leader categories for Adventure Specialists, Netherlands.
Sita has been declared Agent and Tour Leader of the year 2016 by Adventure Specialists (Shoestring, Koning Aap, YourWay2GO and Entdeck die Welt), Netherlands for their hard work, assisting Adventure Specialists and their customers for delivering a perfect experience.
Sita has won the Tour Leader Award three times in a row.
Express Travel World Award
The Express TravelWorld Awards were launched in 2003 to recognise outstanding efforts by members of the tourism industry.
2003 -2009
Sita received the Best National Inbound Tour Operator Award, all seven times since its inception.
Taj Hotels Award
Taj Hotels launched exclusive awards to recognise its partners for their outstanding contribution.
2014 – 2016
- ‘Destination Management Company – Large – for the Highest Revenue Contribution’ to Taj Hotels in India.

CNBC AWAAZ Travel Award
These awards aim to recognise and honour stellar organisations and individuals who are championing, driving and supporting tourism in India.
2011
The company has been honoured with the CNBC AWAAZ Travel Award in the category of ‘Innovative Work in Marketing India as Travel and Tourism Destination.’ This is the first for the company.
2012
Sita won this award for innovation for the Destination Knowledge Centre, the first of its kind in the travel industry.
2013
Sita received the CNBC AWAAZ award for Best Tour Operator Inbound.

2014
North India Travel Awards awarded Sita for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility in 2014.
Asian Travel & Tourism Creative Awards
2006
South Bound India won the Silver Award at the Asian Travel & Tourism Creative Awards for the Travel / Destination Brochure.
IATO Convention Award
2006
South Bound India was also awarded the Best Brochure – Tour Operator, at the IATO Convention, Jaipur.
Intourist Award
Sita was awarded by Intourist, one of Russia’s leading tour operators, for reliability, excellent service rendering, unrivalled professionalism and devotion to business. The Company has won this award for the second time now.
The awards were given away by Mr. Victor Topolkaraev, General Director Intourist Russia and Mr. Thomas Hohn, Head Eastern Europe Thomas Cook AG, International Markets, on September 22, 2011, during a ceremony held in Moscow.
Best Foreign Megapolus Partner 2008
Sita was awarded by Megapolus, in recognition Sita’s support and solidarity as the Best Foreign Megapolus Partner 2008.
Agent of the Year Award Kuoni UK
Sita was declared, “The Agent of the Year 2014” by Kuoni UK for their hard work, assisting Kuoni UK and their customers for delivering a perfect experience. Sita has won this award twice earlier.
The Agent of the year award is based on consistent customer satisfaction scores from the frontline staff, good operational skills and daily support with customer issues as they arise. Sita performed outstandingly in all these areas of operation.
